Here's to a new travel year with the hopes that we are able to have some fun, learn about new countries, and finalize our 30 baseball parks. First up is the Surprise 75th birthday trip for Earle. His fandom for Josh Groban is legendary and so when I heard that he was going to be starring in Sweeney Todd on Broadway, the wheels were set in motion. And so the planning began. It was hard to keep the surprise, but the day has come and off we go.
All good plans can run into a very big hitch. As we were leaving the Admiral's Club at PIT, Earle fainted and gnashed his forehead and broke C1 in his neck. He was transported to Mercy Hospital, a trauma 1 center where he spent 6 days. No conclusive evidence of what happened, but obviously the trip didn't happen.
